That's An Auto Fail CNN

By now you have probably seen or heard about the fire in St Boniface on Monday October 1st. The fire started around 5:30pm and caused 15 million dollars in damage to Speedway International. Luckily no one working was injured and all made it out okay. Several homes near the area were evacuated due to the intense heat and thick smoke that thickened the evening sky. The story made national headlines through Twitter, Facebook, and many news stations.

So one of the biggest headlines? How about the fact that CNN would have auto failed in Cre Comm for spelling Winnipeg's name wrong twice on one screen shot.

There it is. Not only once in the top left, but again in the top right and across the bottom. So is that maybe why no one knows where Winnipeg is? I guess this is why we are taught to check over our work twice and maybe three times to prevent a small slip up like this one.

  1. Good catch. I wonder if anyone at CNN caught all three typos later on. Someone deserves a facepalm for that one.
