Today I had a nice lunch date with my mom and Baba. We went around 3pm so it was not at all busy like it normally was. I have been to the Olive Garden once or twice...or hundreds of times. What can I say, I love my breadsticks. I usually go during times where it's very busy so today was kind of nice and relaxing.
We had a wonderful server Nina who brought us our drinks (fruity summer time drinks) in a very short amount of time. My mom and Baba both ordered meals that were ready before mine but we told them to bring them out because we figured mine would be out shortly.
(our drinks, which were very very good)
After waiting a bit, we started to wonder where my food was. A manager came up to our table and said that unfortunately the kitchen missed my order so they just started to make it. This didn't really annoy me because I knew we were in no rush, but I also knew that I would have to make everyone wait for me to finish my food.
The manager came back about five minutes later with my food (which was excellent as always) and told us that he was going to pay for our entire table to make up for the inconvenience. I was shocked, but very impressed that he went above and beyond just making my meal free. It was a very generous thing to do and we were all impressed to say the least.
I've always recommended Olive Garden to people before, but now I will most definitely recommend it. The service and hospitality we received was excellent and I can't wait to come back for another meal. It just goes to shows that good things come to those who wait. This random act of kindness sure made my day.
