Welcome to my blog! I have to warn anyone reading this...I am fairly new to the blog scene so hopefully I will figure out my design, layout etc in no time!
I'd like to first take time to sort of introduce myself. I am a first year cre comm student at Red River, hoping to major in broadcasting or journalism. Sports have been involved in my life since I was young so what better to blog about right?! I will take a look at local and national sports every week and talk about anything from stats, new players, various sports, injuries, and any other topics I may stumble upon. I know some people don't show much interest in sports but I do hope you will take time to read my blog and let me know what you think!
To start off my first post, I would like to bring your attention to a local sport. The Winnipeg Goldeyes (our baseball team if you are unfamiliar) started their playoff battle against the Fargo Moorehead Redhawks last night. They came out with a 4-2 win which is AWESOME. They play again tonight and then return home for game 3 on Friday. Now I'm hoping the team can win it in three because how wicked would that be? Pretty sweet. However, I work for the Winnipeg Goldeyes which is a fabulous organization and it would be good if we played four or even five just so I could see all the fantastic people I work with for a few more days. The Goldeyes have had their ups and downs this summer, but have pulled together to claim a spot in the semi finals of the American Association of Baseball. Go Fish Go!!
Now if you haven't been to a Goldeyes game this summer, you should really come out on Friday. This battle between the Fish and the Redhawks is and has been one of the toughest battles all summer so you are sure to witness some awesome playoff baseball. And since we may not see our Jets for a while and our Bombers are still recovering from their 52-0 loss, baseball seems like a pretty good time right now!
That's all I have to say for the time being. Comment! Tweet me! Let me know what you think. What do you want to read about? I can promise you I will try and make it happen and hopefully be a pro blogger by the end of this semester!
