Balance is Bliss

Woah woah woah....homework does NOT have to be a balancing act! But seriously, you need to make sure your life is balanced!

It's really hard when you get caught up in school, especially in a program like Cre Comm, to remember that there are in fact other things in your life besides presentations and auto fails (I know hard to believe)

With those long eight hour days, those endless nights of homework (some spent in W308) and those sleepless nights it's hard to think anything else could fit into your life. I've experienced this especially with friends and family, not having much time for either. I feel bad because I have to work a part time job along with school so somedays I don't even see my family and we live in the same house so tell me how that works out....

I wanted to make a point of just reminding everyone that yes, we are in the final two weeks of semester one (wait ....what already?) but you need to make time for as much as you can! Don't get swamped in massive work loads, it just adds to stress which no one needs going onto Christmas break. Take an hour even just to hang out and catch up with a friend, have dinner with your family, go to the gym or do something that requires taking a break. Do not feel guilty about going out for dinner or coffee with a friend. It usually helps just to take a lot of the stress away just to see smiling faces and can help keep the stress away. You can't do homework 24/7 (trust me I've tried). It's just not healthy nor is it beneficial. Everyone needs a break so don't try and cram too much homework into one period. Even taking a walk around the school for ten minutes every hour helps! So stay strong, you are almost at the end!

  1. Taking short walks is a good suggestion.

  2. Photoshopping #ccbffs into photos is also bliss-full. :)

  3. This advice is solid. CreComms guilt HARD when we take time away from studying with due dates looming. Now every time that happens, I just think, "Nu-uh, this is okay because Janessa said so. :3"
