Livin' On The Dance Floor

Okay, I have to be honest. I don't have a lot of time for watching TV with two schools, two jobs, and a lot of homework. But I make time for my Tuesday guilty pleasure Dance Moms.

For any of you who have never heard (or seen) Dance Moms it's a show about a group of girls who dance at the Abby Lee Dance Company and compete in weekly competitions. They have crazy moms who argue and yell about 3/4 of every episode. There is a lot of drama and a lot of yelling. I got hooked after the first episode.

Being someone who has danced and had a passion for dance for a long time, I saw this show and thought wow this is a group of really talented dancers. And it is! They're 6-14 years old and they are phenomenal. Then I noticed that the drama was super intense in each show. It turned into a Toddlers and Tiaras fiasco before I knew it. I couldn't turn it off. If you have a chance, check out the show.

Don't you have that show? The one that no matter how bad it is or how time consuming it may be to watch, you still do? I honestly love the second half of the show more because it's where they actually dance at whatever competition they're at. I wish I could just erase the drama in the show and watch the dancing. Then would it have the same popularity? Probably not. I guess that's what TV shows do to get you hooked.

Have a show you just can't live without? Comment and let me know!

  1. Never caught on to the reality show thing. Costumes look great though -- reminds me of "Strictly Ballroom," one of the key movies of my youth...

  2. I know Janessa! These shows are hard to stop watching once you start... I've watched most seasons of Jersey Shore and am ashamed to say so!
