Sorry, I'm not blogging about Miley Cyrus and her twerking fiasco. Just figured the title itself relates to the next eight months of my life.
Sometimes when you're living life you forget how quickly things can change. They can be good, sometimes bad, but none the less they can sometimes catch you off guard.
I knew coming into my final year of post-secondary education, I would probably be extremely busy with work, school, volunteer, and anything else I can squeeze into my 24 hour days.
Here's some things that I'm looking forward to taking on over the next four months.
Winnipeg Jets Internship
GO JETS GO! Seriously so excited for this. I will be in the press box during the games doing various tasks, and post game I will be in the scrums (YES) doing interviews with coaches and players. How exciting!
Janessa Meets Winnipeg
If you've read any of my previous blogs or follow me on Twitter (@janessawirth) or Facebook (facebook.com/janessameetswinnipeg) you will know that I'm well underway on my IPP. I have finished my commercial, just about sent off my business cards, and am writing out shots for my first shoots beginning this month!
Winnipeg Free Press
I will be doing select events helping out with audio, video, technical, and sound for events that take place at the Free Press Cafe. Great opportunity to improve my skills in video and media.
Investigative Journalism
As if I don't have enough on my plate already! I am taking one of the final classes I need in my University career so that I can graduate this year with a degree and a diploma in communications. This class sounds like it appeals to what I am currently learning in Cre Comm so I can't wait.
Letters From A Yoga Lover
So I am a bit of a yogi. I love doing yoga as a stress relief and for a fun activity. I am writing a column for The Projector about my adventures with life and yoga.
I know looks like a lot right? I think I'm crazy, but my time management is also amazing. My calendars are colour coordinated down to last detail. I'm hoping that my experience will not only be fun but benefit me in the long run! Hope to keep you updated on here throughout the semester!
