Big Brother Canada

So normally I am a HUGE Big Brother fan. By huge I mean I've pretty much watched every season and if I was ever selected to be on the American show, I could tell you who was in what season no problem.

But seriously....Big Brother Canada just started and to put it lightly...AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FO THAT!

Well I don't anyway. See Big Brother is a big time commitment. Even in the summer it takes up three days and three hours of your week just to stay in the loop. Then there's Big Brother After Dark and you can choose to let that consume your life or not. I watched the first episode of #BBCAN and honestly...it's just not the same.

I am one of those people who think that if the Americans did it first, there's no chance for a Canadian show. Examples, Canadian Idol, SYTYCDC, and now Big Brother. There are many others but these reality shows I feel as though either the Americans are more entertaining, or that Canadian producers just aren't being as original. Now not saying that they don't know what they're doing or that they're not working very hard, it's just personal opinion of course. But I mean look...is Canadian Idol still running? Just saying.

As for Big Brother Canada, well, I'm in Cre Comm and seriously I spend more time at school now than I do at home. So perhaps if I happen to have a free night I will check it out, but the first episode didn't give me any reason to tune in for longer. Also there's no one from Winnipeg on there and well I know we're not the best city but I feel like a show such as this should have at least one person from each major city across Canada then use up the rest of the Toronto contestants.
