I've been missing in action for a few months, but I've decided to return. In this now free time that I've discovered, I have no idea what to do with it so for now I will fill it with something I love to do and that is writing and ranting.
Since I've blogged last, I've graduated both college and university (something I never thought was possible). And since grad I've been asked about 50 times "what are you doing for work?"
Now I know the assumption is that once you graduate you will go out and find a job related to your studies. Well I've had a summer job at a country club for the past three years that I was willing to keep for one more summer while I take some time to relax and unwind from Cre Comm.
It doesn't really bother me that I don't have a career job yet because I have the rest of my life to work and I'm still pretty young so why not spend my last free summer having the time of my life right?
It only bothered me when someone asked me "when are you going to get a real job?"
A real job? Now okay, you could take that as a career job, which is what I'm sure they meant. But a real job to mean means getting paid, working normal hours and doing work for a client. Sooo...that's kind of what I'm doing.
I find it hilarious that people can be so judgmental about what other people do for work. If someone is doing something they love, then why should it be anyone else's business? I for one think that it's more important to make yourself happy than other people.
Anyway, for the time being I am spending my days at the sunny green St Charles, my evenings on my deck or on a patio sharing laughs with friends, and NAPPING, because I can.
